Fashion Design Lecturer
Gary Wilson graduated from Northumbria University where he also taught on the Fashion BA (HONS) course for several years mentoring students from level 4 to level 6 aiding in the development of their final collections for graduate fashion week (GFW). Furthermore he has been responsible for many fashion show productions for the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, the BBC and more recently in Vietnam.
Gary has been a designer and pattern cutter for several industry leaders such as Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh and KTZ as well as undertaking the role of studio manager for the U.K. brand Isolated Heroes. Alongside this Gary has been running his own label back in the U.K. developing his own collections and working for celebrity clients such as Nicki Minaj, Azealia Banks, Shystie and multiple cast members of the Emmy award winning television series RuPaul’s Drag Race. His work has been featured worldwide both online and in print for publications such as WeAr Global Magazine, Style Noir, IN Magazine and Dazed & Confused.
