Yes, our design tutors have many years experience of teaching in UK universities, and you will be taught to develop your skills and understanding to the same level as the UK students.
Previous experience in drawing is desirable but not essential, as you will be taught various forms of drawing and illustration, which are neccessary for communicating your design ideas.
Yes, both our full time and short courses include creative pattern cutting, which is a neccessary skill for a designer and other design related careers in the fashion industry.
Yes, the skills required for mechandising will be presented in both a short course and in our two year programmes. Up to date timings will be on the website: www.lcfs.vn
Short courses can be a “Taster” course, maybe just one or two weeks to see if you are interested in a topic, or a higher level course to bring in new ideas to existing skills. Short courses will be held during the “Summer” months, after the main term has finished.
Short courses are costed according to their programme length and academic level.
Some materials are provided such as pattern paper. Students are expected to provide other materials and equipment such as fabrics for projects and personal equipment like art materials and scissors pins. An equipment list is provided before the start of the course.
Yes, a LCFS Certificate will be awarded to students who successfully complete each short course.
It is possible to gain enough credits for a full diploma but this will take much longer if done in short term mode.
Interpreters will be available for all classes delivered in English for the first year. Future programmes will insist on a pre- English level requirement.
